The Cracow Mounds
Have you ever seen amazing pyramids in Kraków?!
If not, you should visit four beautiful mounds rose by the citizens of the town, some even hundreds years ago!
First mound is the Krakus Mound at the Krzemionki area built in 17th century with its 16m height. According to the legend that mound is also a grave of prince Krak who set up Kraków.
The second mound, and probably the most famous one, is the Kościuszki Mound, rose between 1820-1823. Its height is 34,1m and it contains soils from the battlefields in Racławice, Maciejowice, Dubienki and American shambles.
The youngest mound's name is the Piłsudskiego Mound built in 1936 – this one is the symbol of the independence of Poland.
Enjoy great panorama of Kraków visiting legendary places and after all, relax on a terrace of the castle in Przegorzały.
